The Italian film tells a simple story about the lives of working-class people in Post-World War II through Antonio, an unemployed man, who finds a job that requires a bicycle. However, when his bicycle is stolen on his first working day, Atonio along with his son Bruno starts a journey to search for it. “Bicycle Thieves” focuses on not only the relationship between the father anf the son, but also social issues in the aftermath of war.
