Dana is a teenager surfer from California who gets inspired by her passing mother's diary about the colorful childhood of surfing in her hometown in South Africa, sets out to the legendary Jeffrey's Bay to realize her mother's dream of conquerring the waves there. With the help from some fun-loving surfing friends, Dana encounters tough locals and her own fears to write up the missing chapter of her mother's book.
