The seasoned con-man Nicky Spurgeon meets an inexperienced grifter, Jess Barrett and starts a romance with her. It makes him more emotional and lose all his money to gambler Liyuan Tse. After winning back the money, he leaves Jess by the side of the road. 3 years later, by accident, Nicky meets Jess again and the past seems to repeat when they rekindle their relationship.
