Holly returns home for Christmas and is put to work as a Santa's elf at her family's store, where she meets and falls in love with Nick. When Nick disappears, in a Cinderella story reversal, Holly searches for him with her only clue, his misplaced black boot, and finally reunites with him at the Christmas Eve dance.
