A 13-year-old Ben Cooper and his family including his single father Nick and his younger sister Angie move to the Smart House named Pat which is created by Sara Barnes after Ben wins it in a competition. Because Ben wants to reprogram Pat as his substitute mother, it becomes dangerous and traps the family in the house which makes Sara come to help and reboot Pat.
