The movie follows suave international thief Simon Templar, who is contracted by Russian oil magnate Ivan Tretiak to steal a formula for cold fusion. On the process, Templar falls in love with Emma and they try to outwit Tretiak and his guerrillas, hiding from them in Moscow.
